Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a great week. This past week flew by. But it was good!

Zone Training
We travelled to Dunaújváros on Thursday for Zone Training. It was really good. It was also nice not to have to stress about doing any of the trainings ;). It was so nice to see some friends and the Szabadkai's. I walked in there and saw the daughter, Lea, and she just ran over to me and gave me the biggest hug! She became like my little sister while I was serving there in Buda! Love that girl! I also got to see my previous companion, Sister Vandenberghe so that was so fun! :)

Mária
We met with a lady named Mária who we had first met while tracting last week. We walked out one day this week wondering where we should go. We decided to give her a call and see if we could set up a time with her. We called her and said we could go over right then! So we headed over there and met with her. She told us she had been sleeping when we called but felt like it would be good if we met. We had a great program with her and just talked about the Book of Mormon. She told us at the end of our program that before we came over, she had a really bad headache. She said that now at the end of our program, her head didn't hurt anymore and she just felt so much better and lighter. :) I'm so excited to meet with her again.

Funny Stories
1. So our apartment is pretty ghetto, not gonna lie. Long story short, our front door is super weird and we ended up getting locked out yesterday. We ended up using an old card and swiping the lock and getting back in! I can't believe it actually worked haha.

2. We tracted into this old lady this week. She let us in and kept talking during the prayer haha she also just kept saying she wished she would die! She said she wasn't sick she just was ready to die haha it was pretty funnyt he way she was saying it. Me and Sister Smith had a hard time not laughing while we were sitting with her haha luckily she was a little too old to know what was going on ;)

Talk in Church
So I went most of my mission since my first transfer without having to give a talk! But I had to give one yesterday. It turned out okay I think. I was asked to speak about Joseph Smith. Pretty broad topic but I decided to use a coupe of experiences from his life and how he was an example to us. I talked about how whenever Joseph prayed, he did it with real intent and a sincere heart. He was always willing to act upon the answer he received. He also many times prayed with a question in mind. We too should pray with real intent and a sincere heart. We will always receive an answer to our prayers. Sometimes, we may need to wait for those answers. They also may not come the way we expect them. But they will always come. I am SO grateful for prayer in my life.

I hope you all have a great week! Thank you for all the love, prayers and support! :)

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a great week. Not really too much to report this week to be honest. We did a lot of tracting this week. A lot of doors slammed in our faces! It was kind of amusing actually. We literally would say, "hello, we are..." BOOM. Door slammed. It was kind of funny haha. We did have a cool experience though. There was one night where Sister Smith and I were just so exhausted and didn't really want to go back out. But we knew that we needed to. So we started tracting a building. One of the first few doors we knocked on was this nice lady. She let us in and we had a good chat with her. We ended up getting her phone number and she said we could come back some other time. Then the next door we knocked on was a SUPER nice lady!! She talked about how she loved our religion (as in she thought we were super nice haha). We chatted with her for a while and she said we could stop by sometime in September when she got back from vacation. It was cool. It was a good lesson that we are blessed when we put God first. Even though we were both exhausted and did not want to go back out in the heat and tract, we did and we met some really nice people!

We also started a Sport Day here in Veszprém. We went to this little court over by the church and played soccer. There were a bunch of kids there too playing soccer already so we started a little game with them. It was pretty fun!

On Sunday, the Young Womens asked me and Sister Smith if we would go into Young Womens. It was so fun to be in there! There were only 2 young women but it was fun. Super nice girls. We talked about how we can strengthen our families. We watched a super cute video about families and how if we all do our part and try and serve each other we will strengthen our families.

Well that's about it for this week. I hope you all have a great week!

Hi everyone,

Well, I am now writing to you all from Veszprém! It's a beautiful city. And my new companion is great! Her name is Sister Smith and she's from Draper, Utah. We get along well and I'm really grateful I get to finish off my mission with a great companion!

The District
We have a great district. Our Elders are Elder King and Elder Heaps. Elder King has been my good buddy since the MTC so it's super fun to be able to serve with him! I haven't served with anyone really from my MTC group until now so it's fun. The other Elder is Elder Heaps. He is in his 2nd transfer and he's super nice! Its going to be a fun district. This morning for Pday we went and hung out in the park for a little bit and then went on a small hike. It was super pretty.

Tracting
So Sister Smith and I got here and there isn't really any work for us. And they haven't had Sisters here in a while so we are kind of startin over. Which is fine! This week we did some tracting. The first door that opened, they let us in! It was a mom and her university-aged daughter. The mom had been going to the Jehova's Wittness church for the past 20 years but wasn't happy there anymore. She said that they were searching for the truth, like Joseph Smith! We gave them a Book of Mormon and they gladly accepted. They invited us to come back two days later to meet. It was good although she had read some stuff on the internet so had lots of really random questions. But it was a good program and they invited us back. I was really proud of Sister Smith too. She introduced what we were going to talk about and gave a little intro to the Book of Mormon! She is so outgoing and willing to try and talk to anyone. It's awesome!

Church
Church was good. I had gotten really used toa big ward in Buda though so it was a big change! There were about 40 people though I think so not too small! They do have their own nice buildling though so thats exciting! Everyone was so nice and welcoming to us. They are all excited to have Sisters again :) I have a new little best friend. Her name is Janka and shes 7 years old haha I had a note to give her from Elder Beaumont and I dont know if thats why but she instantly warmed up to me and was following me around and hugging me the whole time! She's so cute!

Well thats about it for the week! I hope you are all doing well! :)

Hi Everyone!

Well...my time in Buda has come to an end. We got transfer calls this morning. I am leaving Buda tomorrow to go open up sisters in Veszprém. And I'm training! I'm a little nervous ;) but it will be a great last transfer I think. It's so weird to think that it will be my last transfer. After I got my call this morning I realized that was the last one I would receive. I remember at the beginning of my mission thinking that the end was so far away and that I would never reach it. But here I am now with only 9 weeks left of my mission. I am excited for this last transfer. I think with a greenie she will have that greenie fire and we can work hard for my last 9 weeks! :)

This week was a great week. Which made it obvious that I was leaving because the week before I leave somewhere always seems to be great!

Hajni

I've mentioned Hajni a few times in my last few emails I think. She was a girl that was baptized while I was serving in Békéscsaba at the beginning of my mission. We met with her earlier this week and she told me some great news. She said she is preparing to serve a mission!!!! My eyes filled up with tears as she told me about her deciding to serve. I remember a year ago when she wanted to get so bad but there were so many obstacles that were getting in the way of that. But finally, she was able to get baptized and now she is planning to serve a mission of her own. I am so proud of her! She helped us with a program this week. It was the first program she had ever helped in and she ROCKED it! She is going to be an incredible missionary!!! :)

András
András is doing great!! We hadn't met with him for over a month and it was making me so sad! But we finally met with him last week and then this week we saw him every day since Wednesday. We met with him a few times and...he came to church!!! That was the first time he had come to church. I was SO excited when I saw him walk in the door! Then we had a final program with him yesterday and he finally said a prayer. I just lost it and started crying haha so embarassing. I am so excited to hear about his progress. He is so great!

Gabi
Another investigator we hadn't met with for a while but finally have been meeting wtih again for the past week is Gabi. She is so great! She is the one who had been continuing to read and pray even during the almost 2 months taht we didn't see her! She told us yesterday that she does want to get baptized there are just some things that will be hard for her to give up. But her faith is so strong and I know that she can do it. I am so sad to be leaving her but I know she'll be okay and I can't wait for the day she is able to be baptized! :)

Well, that's about it for the week! I hope you are all doing well. Thank you to everyone for all your prayers and support!
