I hope you all had a great week.
Our last week here was pretty slow...we weren't really able to meet with anyone, sadly. All the people we has met with the week before couldn't meet last week so we just had to tract. And sadly no one really wanted to let us in. But its okay hopefully this week we will be able to meet with more people!
Game Night
One cool thing that happened was on Tuesday. We went over to meet with a family in the branch. The mom (Elvira), daughter (Jenny, 17) and son (Barnabás, 11) are all members. But they don't come that often because Elvira and Jenny work a lot. Barnabás got baptized about 5 months ago and doesn't come to church even when the other two do. They are SUCH a nice family! We just wnet over to get to know them and see how they are doing. We mostly chatted with Elvira and Jenny but Barnabás came out for a little bit. We invited him and Jenny to come to our game night! He said maybe haha. We were sitting there that night at game night and they both walked in! I was SO excited!! He seemed to have a good time too. Such a nice kid! Hopefully he'll keep coming to stuff! :)
Branch Picnic
On Saturday we had a picnic with the Branch. It was so much fun! We went to a park and they built a fire and we cooked some food over it. We also played some soccer and there was a little water fight. It was so nice to spend some time with the ward members and get to know them better.
Church
Church was good on Sunday! Right before Sacrament Meeting started, one of the branch presidency members came over to Sister Smith and Elder Heaps and asked if they would be willing to get up and bear their testimonies (I think someone who was supposed to speak hadn't shown up).
Buda
So yesterday we spent the day in Buda because the new missionaries had to go to the government building to get registered and do a little training. Lucky for us trainers, we got to spend some time in Budapest! :) We got there on Sunday night and me and my good friend Sister Schnoor travelled to stay with the Sisters in Buda. It was nice/weird being back in my old apartment! But itwas so fun to see my old companion Sister Vandenberghe! Then on Monday morning, Sister Schnoor and I headed over to the branch house to pick up Sister Peterson (senior couple) and we headed to the Big Market in Pest to get some souvenirs. It was SO much fun! It was really nice to be able to talk with Schnoor all about our missions and how we are feeling about our missions coming to an end. And being with Sister Peterson is always amazing. She is such a special lady. I am so grateful I got to serve around her in Buda and got to spend the day with her yesterday! We headed back in the afternoon and went to the training with the new missionaries. We were able to hear from president Szabadkai and his wife and the AP's. It was a great training.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful week! Good luck to all those people that are starting school this week! :) Love you all and miss you!
Sok szeretettel,
Simons Nővér xx
